Mineral Wool - IIG

IIG Curtainwall Insulation is designed to provide superior fire resistance and thermal properties in glass, metal and stone curtainwall spandrel systems.

Superior Fire Safety - Curtainwall Insulation has a melting point in excess of 2000F and is classified as non-combustible by the model building codes. When installed in approved wall systems, Curtainwall insulation complies with the requirements of ASTM E119.

Size Available - Curtainwall Insulation is available in a standard size of 24" X 48". Curtainwall Insulation can also be furnished pre-cut in non-standard lengths widths to eliminate the need for job site fabrication and speed installation.

Safing Insulation - Safing Insulation provides superior fire resistance properties when installed between the spandrel panel and floor slab in commercial curtainwall systems. It also prevents passage of flame and smoke in “poke-through openings” in fire-related assemblies. Safing Insulation is manufactured, utilizing patented state-of-the-art technology from basaltic rock. The fibers are bonded and preformed into flexible batts. Safing Insulation is inorganic and will not mildew or support corrosion. Safing Insulation is available unfaced or with foil scrim (FS) facing on one side. Safing Insulation does not contain any asbestos.

Sound Attenuation - Sound Attenuation Batts are manufactured from basaltic rock using patented state-of-the-art technology. The fibers from this process are bonded and preformed into flexible batts. Sound Attenuation Batts Insulation are inorganic, will not mildew or support corrosion, and do not contain asbestos. Sound Attenuation Batts are designed to provide acoustical, thermal and fire resistance properties when installed in interior partition walls and above suspended ceiling systems.

Mineral Wool - Thermafiber

With Thermafiber Curtainwall Insulation, spandrel panels of all materials become fire barriers with excellent fire-containment and thermal values. This insulation, made of non-corrosive mineral fiber, is especially suitable for aluminum, structural glass and porcelainized metal - prefabricated or field assembled. It's designed for quick mechanical attachment in exterior column covers and window and track fillers. In addition to the regular type, Thermafiber Dark Curtainwall Insulation is available for structural glass spandrels. Because it provides dark color and obscured surface texture, it's ideal for the fast-growing segment of curtain wall installations that use vision spandrel glass.

Mineral fiber Thermafiber products have a higher melt point than glass fiber products, offering extra fire protection in commercial and high-rise buildings. Sound attenuation fire blankets have high density to reduce noise. Stud blankets go into cavities of metal-stud or wood-stud walls, insulated exterior wall furring applications and curtainwalls. Z-Furring Blankets are for use with USG Z-Furring channels in exterior applications. Fire Safety FS25 Blankets give additional fire protection.

Amerrock Premium Plus

Premium Plus' uniform coverage gives it a higher R-value to resist air-infiltration and heat loss. This granular mineral fiber product is pneumatically installed over ceilings or in exterior walls of existing residential and commercial buildings as well as over ceilings in new construction. Its high melt point delivers an added bonus in fire safety.

Cavity Wall Spray Mineral Wool

Amerrock is a spray-on rockwool insulation made from one of the oldest and most trusted fibers in the United States. Amerrock is manufactured with a dry adhesive built into the product which requires the addition of water to activate the cohesive and adhesive strength for closed cavity applications. With a density of 4 lbs. per cubic foot, Amerrock has greater mass than most other insulation fibers (mineral, glass or cellulose) thus adding to the overall partition mass and decreasing the air infiltration rate while increasing sound control. Because we use a total system (fiber, adhesive, approved spray equipment and qualified applicators), Amerrock has an exclusive “Lifetime Warranty”.
